You could have the most viral TikTok reel in existence or be the next Khaby Lame. You could have 10k, 100k or 10M people watching your Instagram ads…
…But if no one clicks on whatever you’re selling, all that effort goes to waste.
I’ll give you the BEST way to convert all those people into your paying customers. It will be quick, easy, and you’ll be blown away by how many business owners do this the wrong way.
Let’s break it down.
What even is a CTA?
It’s called Call To Action, and it’s the moment where you ask your audience to take the next step, whether that’s booking a consultation, making a purchase, or throwing money to your face.
You’ve worked to capture their attention, you’ve delivered the message, and now it’s time for them to take action.
You’re going to need three things for a CTA that converts: clarity, urgency, and value. Here’s how to get each one just right.
This sounds obvious, but it’s where a lot of people mess up. People don’t want vague suggestions, but clear and direct instructions.
See the difference? The second option is direct and tells the audience exactly what to do.
We’re all doomscrolling on social media. If you don’t give people a reason to act now, they’ll push it off. Creating a sense of urgency gives them that little push:
Be careful, though. Fake urgency is the fastest way to lose credibility. Be a man (or a woman, or a transformer helicopter, I don’t judge) of your word.
So if it’s urgent, it better actually be limited-time or in short supply.
This is everyone's favorite question: What’s In It For Me (WIIFM)
A good CTA doesn’t just tell people what to do. It shows them what’s in it for them.
Instead of telling them to “Sign up for our newsletter”, try “Get weekly tips to boost your confidence”.
I know you’re in love with your product or service, or whatever you’re selling. Every night before you sleep, you’re thinking about cutting concrete, or closing that deal.
But this is about your client’s needs. You’re fulfilling their dreams.
Make the value obvious, and make it appealing.
Your CTA should get through their “sales shield”, grab them by their throat, and make them pay attention.
Use simple words that inspire movement -> “Get”, “Start”, “Claim”, and “Unlock” are your best friends.
Weak: “Click here for details.”
Strong: “Start your transformation today.”
A CTA that’s clear, urgent, valuable, bold, and actionable? That’s how you make people click.
So next time you write a CTA, think of it as the final handshake with your audience. A firm, confident, and irresistible invitation to take that next step.
